This 1-day highly interactive class is designed to begin creating Leadership abilities at an early age enabling young people to make more of an impact in life. Young Leaders between the ages of 13 – 18 who want to develop leadership skills such as “how to” lead groups, deal with Diversity, manage conflict and use active listening.

Abstract

This class focuses on Collaborative Leadership. The class is highly interactive. This class explores what is "Leadership" and "Leading Groups ".  Topics include:

 

  • What is Collaborative Leadership?
  • Basic Leadership Skills - leading people, Diversity, managing conflict, and Active Listening.
  • Leading Groups - Strategic Thinking and the Group Life Cycle.

Objectives

Upon completion, students will be able:

 

  • To define "Collaborative Leadership".
  • To develop Collaborative Leadership skills.
  • To recognize effective Leaders.
  • To use Collaborative Leadership Skills learned to affect group performance.
